Ahok to Use Latest Technology to Solve Water Crisis

Jakarta Governor, Basuki 'Ahok' T Purnama admitted that only 57 percent of citizens in Jakarta who get clean water. Hence, Jakarta Provincial Government will use the latest technology to distribute clean water to all Jakarta citizens.

As many as 43 percent of Jakarta citizens still not get clean water supply. Moreover, the wastewater processing in the city is under 5 percent

Moreover, the wastewater processing in the city is under 5 percent," told Ahok, when he gave a speech in the Water Sanitation and City Forum and Exhibition 2015, Jakarta Convention Center (JCC), Jalan Jenderal Sudirman, Wednesday (5/27).

Basuki told, Jakarta government has also done some efforts to improve water processing, like making bylaw which closes an access to take groundwater through deep wells.

Former East Belitung Regent also hoped the latest technology will be developed for water processing. Furthermore, Jakarta government also had a 'gasification', that is a waste processing technology into electricity and water.

"This latest technology from Switzerland will be applied at Pluit, Marunda and Kapuk Reservoirs," he told.
